چکیده

We study soliton solutions of a modified non-linear Schrödinger (MNLS) equation. Using an Ansatz for the time and azimuthal angle dependence previously considered in the studies of the spinning Q-balls, we construct multi-node solutions of MNLS as well as spinning generalisations. Stability of spinning ring solitons of the cubic-quintic nonlinear Schrödinger equation

We investigate stability of (2+1)-dimensional ring solitons of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation with focusing cubic and defocusing quintic nonlinearities. Computing eigenvalues of the linearised equation, we show that rings with spin (topological charge) s = 1 and s = 2 are linearly stable, provided that they are very broad. The stability regions occupy, respectively, 9% and 8% of the corresp...

Implication of Quantum Effects on Non-Linear Propagation of Electron Plasma Solitons

We have studied the electron exchange-correlation effect on thecharacteristics of the two-component unmagnetized dense quantum plasma withstreaming motion. For this purpose, we have used the quantum hydrodynamic model(including the effects of a quantum statistical Fermi electron temperature) for studyingthe propagation of an electrostatic electron plasma waves in such th...

Chiral solitons from dimensional reduction of Chern-Simons gauged coupled non-linear Schrödinger model

The soliton structure of a gauge theory proposed to describe chiral excitations in the multi-Layer Fractional Quantum Hall Effect is investigated. A new type of derivative multi-component nonlinear Schrödinger equation emerges as effective description of the system that supports novel chiral solitons. We discuss the classical properties of the solutions and study relations to integrable systems.

Comparison of The LBM With the Modified Local Crank-Nicolson Method Solution of Transient Two-Dimensional Non-Linear Burgers Equation

Burgers equation is a simplified form of the Navier-Stokes equation that represents the non-linear features of it. In this paper, the transient two-dimensional non-linear Burgers equation is solved using the Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM). The results are compared with the Modified Local Crank-Nicolson method (MLCN) and exact solutions. The LBM has been emerged as a new numerical method for sol...

Unstable gap solitons in inhomogeneous Schrödinger equations

A periodically inhomogeneous Schrödinger equation is considered. The inhomogeneity is reflected through a non-uniform coefficient of the linear and non-linear term in the equation. Due to the periodic inhomogeneity of the linear term, the system may admit spectral bands. When the oscillation frequency of a localized solution resides in one of the finite band gaps, the solution is a gap soliton,...
